Asset Planning Strategies Privacy Statement

Updated August 5, 2006

A cornerstone of our practice is our emphasis on confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal and financial information.

We receive personal, nonpublic information about our clients in order to provide financial consulting services. This information usually includes name, address, social security numbers, family situation, income, employment information, tax liability, bank account information, and stock or mutual fund ownership.

We do not share any public or nonpublic information about our clients with any third parties except as necessary to provide the service for which we have been retained. This usually is limited to the Internal Revenue Service and various State Tax Authorities for tax matters, or brokerage firms, stock and mutual fund entities for investment matters. We do not audit the security provisions of third parties.

We restrict access to client personal information to only those employees who have a 'need to know' in order to provide requested services. In addition, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect personal information. Safeguards are maintained for both existing and former clients.

APS clients are notified of changes to this policy through the firm’s standard communications:  website, newsletters and / or personal letters.
